Workshop Overview
Information networks are becoming increasingly integrated into all sectors of the economy and society. Meanwhile, emerging applications are imposing stringent requirements on latency, synchronization, transmission reliability, and service flexibility. Traditional approaches based on incremental network upgrades and the isolated evolution of standalone network systems are no longer sufficient to meet the diverse and complex demands of modern vertical industries.
Driven by the rapid development of AI for Science (AI4S), there is a growing need for a new infrastructure paradigm that can bridge unified infrastructure design and diversified application requirements. Generative Cloud-Network Infrastructure (GCNI) is envisioned as a promising foundation for this goal. It aims to support the deep convergence of networking, computing, storage, and sensing, while enabling more intelligent, flexible, and trustworthy cloud-network services.
GCNI raises important research challenges across multiple dimensions, including coordinated transmission and control in space-air-ground integrated networks, application-oriented network construction through the convergence of multidimensional cloud resources, and robust mechanisms for secure and trustworthy network environments. It also opens new opportunities for intelligent orchestration of forwarding, computing, and storage resources, as well as for communication-sensing integration across heterogeneous network systems.
The GCNI workshop offers two key benefits to attendees. First, it provides an accessible introduction to this emerging and dynamic research field, broadening its reach to a wider audience. Second, it serves as a platform for the research community to discuss pressing challenges, explore new opportunities, and shape future directions in GCNI research.
This workshop invites submissions on the fundamental theory, design principles, implementations, industrial applications, and operational insights of GCNI. In addition to regular paper presentations, the program will also feature keynote talks from leading researchers to highlight recent advances and stimulate discussion on future research directions.
Topics of Interest

Submission Instructions
Submissions must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration at another conference or journal. Submitted papers must be at most six pages long, including all figures, tables, references, and appendices in two-column 10pt IEEE format. Papers must not include author names and affiliations for double-blind peer reviewing by the PC. Authors of accepted submissions are expected to present and discuss their work at the workshop.
